Hi everyone,

Just taking the opportunity to introduce myself. I'm thinking about getting an iPad but I need some more information before I do. Could someone tell me where to post a question about remotely uploading any file from the iPad to a server e.g. a home NAS? I basically want to use it as a laptop substitute while traveling.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Uploading files from the iPad is a bit of a problem; you can't do this from the stock web-browser Safari, so you'll need to use a third-party browser. However, there are several threads on the Forum about this so have a search or post your question in the Help section.
