Hi
I'm Camille. I'm a new owner of the 1Pad2. I hope to use it mainly to show clients my portfolio of pictures. I am an interior designer. I know it will be very easy to sell my services by showing pictures of my work. I have about 13,000 photos on my pc and want to know how to transfer them to my iPad. I also add at least 100 pictures per week to my pc and would need to transfer them to my iPad as well. Hope someone can help me.
Thanks in advance

Hi Camille - welcome to the forum! :) I'm a little west of you in Winston-Salem, although I did spend 2 yrs at Ft. Bragg in the mid-70s.

I would first suggest that you do some searching on the forum - there has been a LOT of recent discussion on syncing photos in both directions, i.e. PC to iPad and the other way; there are many options both cabled and 'wireless', in addition to 3rd party apps that may serve your purposes better than the native photo app in the iPad2; so much to be considered.

But as a first suggestion - you could create a folder (e.g. iPad Portfolio) on your computer and even add a bunch of sub-folders, and place your images into these folders as desired. Then when you are ready to sync your iPad2 to iTunes, just check the newly created folder and sub-folders - these should then be transferred to your iPad - I would suggest starting small w/ just a dozen or so pics in the main/sub-folders to make sure the process is working for you and that you are happy using the native app.

If not, then please post back for further suggestions - good luck! :)

Thanks giradman. I travel to High Point at least twice a year to the Furniture Market which is so close to you. I like that area. You get a little more of the four seasons than we do here. Fayetteville in the 70s was alot different than today. Much better I think. I arrived here in the early 80's.
I will try your suggestion; however, I actually have my photos categorized into albums by customer. I add to their album over the months and years as I make improvements to their homes. I have before pictures and then the after pictures. I also include photos of pieces they like and would like to purchase in the future. My albums are very fluid. Right now I have Itunes set to sync all albums and it must not be capable of moving all those photos because it only transfers about 20 albums. I have a 64gigs so space can't be the issue. I may very well need to use a 3rd party app. First, though, I will try creating the iPad Portfolio folder for albums such as "kitchens", "Bathrooms", "Window Treatments". Thanks again, and I'll let you know how I make out!
