Home Sharing wont work

I can not for the life of me think what im doing wrong , i have enabled home sharing on my ipad 2 and windows 7 machine exactly as the guide says. Go to ipod on my ipad and nothing am i missing something simple cheers.

On the same network? Are you pressing library in the iPod app to select the homeshared library?

Yeah on the same network , i dont no what u mean i press libary and it is not even a button to press

Homesharing can be picky occasionally, reboot your pc and reset your iPad and try again. What should happen is when you press library in the iPod app you should then be able to choose between the iPad library and any homeshared library.

yeah tried that is their anything on the router that might be at fault

Also, iTunes must be running on the computer. The window does not have to be active, bit if the program is not running then there is nothing to broadcast the shared library.

When everything is set up properly, the top library bar in the iPod app changes to show a House icon. When you tap on it you will see a list of available shared libraries {see attachment}. Tap to chose.

this is very frustrating now reinstalled windows and itunes and still nothing anyone come across this before i have a linksys wireless router
