How do i bookmark a page?

I googled it and everything says to tap the + icon at the top of the browser but I'm not seeing one. Am I missing something?
Also, I don't see an option to add the bookmark to the desktop when i open the bookmarks folder.

I don't know where you got a + mark but to make a bookmark tap the arrow coming out of the box icon.

Got it! I thought that was the refresh button. Never used Safari before.

I think whatever you read was talking about safari for a Mac.
