How to access regular website and not mobile versions?

For example, I wanted to use Safari to pull up Lifehacker.com and catch up on stuff. But Lifehacker is redirecting me to their mobile website at m.lifehacker.com. I tried changing the "m." to "www." but it reverts back to the mobile one.

Because safari on the ipad is identified as a mobile web browser. You're better off finding a substitute browser that allows you to change how websites see the ipad. Atomic browser allows you to "identify Browser as" safari desktop, Firefox3, IE 6, 7, or 8 which is changed under settings.

Many sites let you choose between the mobile and desktop view and have a Desktop link near the bottom, but lifehacker.com is not one of them. So as OUTL4W suggested, a different browser with identity support should fix that.

I just downloaded Atomic Browser. This looks like a treat browser with many customization features. I also like because of the name. I have my icons in alphabetical order ant Atomic will be almost at he beginning easy to find.

Sent from my iPad 32gb WIFI 3G 1st generation.
