How to create a directory ?

I have a set of photos that I would like to keep separated from the others.
I would like to store them on my Ipad by transfering them directly from my camera sd card into its own directory (using the camera connecting set) . How do I create a directory on my Ipad without using the Itunes xfer page ?

I believe the camera card will just import them to Camera Roll. Then you can use HD Photo Sort app from the Apple store. I have tried several and I like this one the best. Allows you to sort and create folders. Sort and make folders the ones you already have first with Photo-Sort, then import the new ones from the camera or SD card. This will make it easier to sort the new ones.
