I set up my account for AOL on iPad before deleting all my pc emails. Anyone know a shortcut to delete over 3,000 now showing on iPad other than one by one?

Try visiting the email website and deleting them out of your inbox there. Or move them to a folder if you don't want to delete them.

Then go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select your account. Turn off the Mail. Open Mail to make sure the emails go away, then go back to Settings and turn your Mail on again.

If you don't have an on/off switch for mail (I don't use AOL so I can't be sure), delete and re-add the account instead of turning it on/off.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.
