How to delete and I-Cloud account

My Ipad that I had purchased a year ago from a rent-to-own company had to go in for repairs as the sound would only work when using headphones. Long story short it could not be repaired so they replaced it today with a refurbished one. It was sent to them from another store and that store did not make sure it was wiped completely so there is someone else's I-Cloud account on there that I cannot get around as I have no clue what the password is. Is there a way for me to get around this so I can start fresh with my own information? Thanks for the help!!

The first thing to do is go to the store and ask for a replacement iPad. It's their fault they gave you an iPad that was iCloud Activation Locked.
