I have an iPad. I just bought my wife an iPad 2 for her b-day. She's insisting that I take the iPad 2 and let her have the iPad. I've resisted, but now think she's sincere. She's not a geek, like I am, and feels she's wasting the iPad 2 enhancements. Great problem, huh?

Well, I love the iPad, but I'm not an experienced Apple devotee.

So, what are the steps to swap iPads? Do I just do a backup on each one? Then do a reset on each iPad, and then a sync back?

You help is appreciated in advance.

Off the top of my head, I think the easiest way is as follows. At least, this is how I would go about it...

1. Backup both iPads before getting started (let's call them iPad 1 & iPad 2)
2. After backing up, Plug iPad 1 into iTunes & initiate a restore. When it asks if you'd like to restore from a backup, say yes and choose the backup from iPad 2.
3. Repeat this step for iPad 2 (restore from the backup from iPad 1)
4. Thank your wife for being awesome & letting you have the iPad 2 ;)
