How to tag Facebook photo on iPad?

In reference to photos on FB - how do you tag a photo on FB on the iPad?

Hmm, missed this one. There was another like it a day or two ago.

Anyway, this is the method when using the FaceBook app. I have not looked into using the website through Safari. I may get around to that later, but it's not something I normally need to do.

So:

1. Post your picture to FaceBook by whatever method you normally use.

2. Find the picture and tap on it until it opens full screen.

3. Tap on the Tag icon at the lower left (only appears for your photos).

4. Tap on the face of the person you want to tag.

5. Start typing their name (FaceBook name if not the same as their real name)

6. Choose the person from the list of suggestions that appears.

6.1. If the person you want to tag is not a FaceBook friend, keep typing until you finish the name, then tap Done on the keyboard.

Repeat 3 - 6 until done tagging.

Question? Why is this in News, and therefor un-editable?

Wanted to add that I do not know of anyway to tag your friend's photos using the FaceBook app.

Um, because a certain moderator made a noob mistake and moved the post here instead of iPad help. I don't know whether I can move it now. It might need an admin to do that.

I did get around to trying to tag a photo using FaceBook via Safari. The controls are there, but do not respond predictably. Often, when I was trying to enter a name on the keyboard, it seemed to keep select the picture underneath and start over.

You might manage to tag a photo this way, but it will be pure luck.

Or it might be possible, and I just got frustrated and gave up before finding the magic combination.

The FaceBook app just got an update. It is now possible to add tags to your friends photos as well, at least those that they share with you.
