How to transfer music...

I had a look and the only programs I see all call for a computer or Mac. If you have a friend with a pc or Mac you could easily install a free program so that you can copy the music from your old iPad and then transfer them to your new one. Once you are done just delete the program from your friends system. Good luck.

any way to transfer my music from my iphone to my new "the new ipad" <<lol stupid>> but yeah is there any apps that would help me. i dont have a computer so yeah am i out of luck?

I believe some functionality is provided for this using your iCloud account. I personally do not sync anything to iCloud so I do not know the finer points.

If the music was purchased in iTunes, then any iOS device that is using the same Apple ID can download the music for free.

Make sure you are logged into the iTunes store with the right account and check out the Purchased tab.

drm and one music library at a time constraints are typical of apples 'all in one' policy
if you had amazon mp3's we wouldnt be having this issue

i am wondering though, you can authorize up to 4 devices to an idevice i thikn (or a certain number atleast)
so authorizing your new computer and syncing the itunes will not automatically download the apps and music to your new computer ?

I wouldnt try out of risk of loosing it all, but if confirmed, would be the easiest (and cheapest) solution

Sorry, I don't have a good answer for you - an iTunes sync would presumably delete your songs on the new computer or is there a way around that option - not sure?

Just wanted to join this thread because I'll be buying a new computer when the newer OSs are released, so will be in a somewhat similar situation - now in searching I've found 3rd party programs, such as the one HERE, which offers a 'free download' but as is typical I suspect the program allows a very limited number of transfers, then a purchase key is needed to obtain the full functions.

Hope that you find an easy solution and looking forward to your posting back here and responses from others w/ potential solluctions - good luck! :)

If you still have your old computer move your iTunes library and associated files to an external hard drive. You will still be able to access from that hard drive until you change computers then you can connect it to your new computer and just point iTunes to the location on the hard drive.

I would give you more detailed instructions but I have only ever done this on a Mac but it should be pretty straightforward.
