How to update

When the new update comes out what is the best way to update the iPad? Should I just plug it in and update it or should I back everything up and restore it and then update it and put everything back on? I have it backed up already now so I just wanted to know if I should restore it before updating it? Thanks for all your help.

You should backup you phone before you update. But there is no need to restore before you update.

Ok thanks that is what I needed to know. I didn't know if me not restoring before updating would mess anything up.

Nope, actually you don't have too backup before an update... If everything works it won't mess with the files/apps but its always better to be on the safe side.
