I have gifted myself an iPad Pro to arrive next week.
I defenestrated Windoze about three years ago to learn Fedora linux. Now I have given up the struggle to maintain compatibility with third-party for-profit stuff like my GPU/driver.
I live on a small Island in Lake Michigan that is intellectually and economically impoverished. If I break something then I'm pretty much on my own to fix it.

Your last sentence above piqued my interest - my paternal grandmother was born on Beaver Island in the late 1880s - I visited twice in the 1960s as a teenager - not much left of the Mormon and then Irish influences on the island. Dave
