We cross-posted. Yes I did turn it off and back on before I got the thing to work, but after cycling it I tried it again with just ppt and it still did the same thing. Then I did hte pdf thing and that seemed to solve it.This is definitely not how Keynote should behave. Have you tried restarting the iPad.
