Hi everyone

I have a mini iPad and a few week after getting it my MacBook died. (2006 MacBook) so I am a created into many learning curves especially Pages.

I adore Pages. I find I learn faster when I have a promised project to complete. Now I have.

I used text boxes a lot but on the iPad I can't see how to move the text freely as it won't budge. Or to reduce space around an image)
Secondly the line spacing has defaulted to 36 point so reducing the line spacing to (say 11 pt) has to happen every time.

Finally how do you simply SAVE or SAVE AS into Documents? (Like when you're doing a template and you want to save that one and make alterations for a different copy.)

I hope I've been coherent.

In anticipation

Laylamac (I know it says three but there's only one of me.)

You'll probably find what you want in the manual Johanna suggested, but in case you don't.

To change the behavior of text boxes, tap the box once to select it (outline, not the text inside the box), the paint brush icon at the top right, the Arrange Tab, the the Wrap options. experiment with the different options to see how the change the behavior of the text box when moving/dragging it. Other objects, like shapes and pictures, have the same options.

For spacing, change your body style with the appropriate spacing when you first start the document. It should stick. If it does not, you can always use the Style option in the popup menu (when selecting text) to copy and paste to new paragraphs (or all text), instead of manually changing it.

There is no Save or Save As. Pages automatically keeps your document saved. Instead, close the current document. When in the All Documents view, tap and hold the document until it's is selected, then tap the + icon at the top left to create a duplicate. You can change the name of the duplicate (or original) by tapping the title below the thumbnail.

The new Pages 2.0 also has change tracking. I haven't played with it, but you may find you want to turn it on and see what it does for you. It's under the wrench icon.
