iBook Artwork Cache on Ipad..

I've been wrestling with this for a while..

I've added some of my old Epub books , and noticed the artwork wasn't the correct size to display properly..

I resized the images and added them to the epub files "get info / artwork section" and sync'd

They show great in itunes but they are always the old artwork on the ipad.

I've deleted the files from the ipad , readded, tried deleting from itunes entirely and readding then resyncing.. No go..

Tried renaming the epub files and readding to itunes.. No go..

It keeps using the old artwork. I deleted all of the cache folders on the computer, but I'm guessing there is some kind of cache on the device.. Is there anyway to make this artwork update?

Solved: The ibooks app itself caches the artwork. Delete the ibooks app then redownload and bam! fixed artwork.. This goes for any artwork you set and then try to change.. :)

Posted bug on Apple's bugreporter.apple.com

LOL!! What a pain... :(

Yeah, I posted a bug on Apple bug reporter for this exact same issue. If you view the books in the book case, they appear correctly. But, any other view and they appear with whatever other artwork that were first synced with. Kinda odd, really.

Consequences of Deleting and Reinstalling

Thanks, much frustration here too. Are there any negative consequences to deleting and reinstalling iBooks? I use my iPhone occasionally to read and they currently keep in sync. Do you think I'd lose that?
