iBooks and playing music with iPod app

Updated to latest iBooks yesterday 1.5 and when I am playing music and then open iBooks the music stops. Is this normal behaviour?

Ipad 2, JB 4.3.3

Never tried it before, but when I tested, yes, it did the same thing.

You can start the music again by going to the multitask bar (four finger swipe up, or double tap the Home button), sliding the icons to the right to get the control bar, and taping the play icon.

This should work to restart any music app (last one opened) provided it supports background audio.

Thanks for confirming it and the work-around. Must be a bug I think, Doesn't do this with other readers, i.e. Kindle App.
