Reset the App
To reset the iBooks app, go into any other app on your iPad and then double click the home button. When the open apps bar comes up, long press the iBooks icon until the minus sign appears on the right upper corner of the app. Then just press the minus sign. This will close the app and it can then be restarted by opening the app from your home screen. Hope this helps!
