Safari has an option to save URLs to the home screen. I can change the icon name before I save it. Sometimes I would like to change the name after I save it. For instance, I named the Apple support website iPad Help. I would like to change the name to Support. I know I can go back to a website and save it again. I have over 100 websites saved so this is a constant frustration.

Unfortunately, re-saving the bookmark onto your homescreen is the only option on a stock iPad. Sorry, but Apple made no provisions to rename homescreen bookmarks.
