iFaraday Stylus Artist Standard or Firm tip?

Some questions about iFaraday Artist :

1. Which one is better for IFaraday Artist, standard or firm?
2. What about the durability?
3. I heard that firm tip is for people who press hard while using it, so does this mean that firm tip is not good for people who press lightly?

I'm new to this stylus thing and any info will be much appreciated. :)

I have tried both, and I strongly prefer the firm tip. I press very lightly. With the firm tip, I get a better sense of when contact has been made with the screen; the writing experience is more like writing with a pen on paper. (I do mostly writing, as opposed to drawing.)

Durability has been excellent. I've used my firm-dome artist model almost daily since getting it last July, and have noticed no deterioration of any kind.

I have no connection to iFaraday, I'm just a satisfied customer.

But will the tip scratch the screen? Cause my iPad has no screen protector. And will it make any sound as the tip glides on the screen?

No and no. I also do not use a screen protector, and have had no problems at all. The tip is made of smooth conductive cloth. And it's totally silent, both when making initial contact and when gliding across the screen.
(These comments apply to both the standard and firm domes. They use the same cloth, only the substrate differs.)

Avo, how is your experience with the reliability of the firm tip? Mine doesn't register all the well. It usually picks up a little bit into a stroke, so writing doesn't work all that well. Do you have any tips? I mean, if your reliability is better? Thanks :o)
