iMovie video import

I am trying to get my mp4 video clips from Dropbox into iMovie for processing, I can't figure out how to do this. This is my first Apple device ever. There is nothing like Windows File Manager that I can find.

I was reading another thread http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-general-discussions/66746-imovie-dropbox.html and they say it's not possible? How do I get my clips into iMovie then to combine them into a single processed movie?

Can't you copy the clips to the camera roll?

I can do that using filebrowser and copy my clips from the Network HD to the camera roll.
Then i only need to fire up iMovie and select them.

Where do I find Filebrowser. Sorry, this i my first Apple device.
