Imported Photo Folder Names

I just imported photos to my IPad2 for the first time. How do I change the name of the folder from "Recently Added" to a name I choose.

The only way to create albums (folders) in the Photos app is to create the folders on the computer and sync them through iTunes. The folders must be managed on the computer.

For more flexibility there are several third party apps you can use to organize your photos. I don't' use one, but here is the AddAdvice app-guide. Don't take it for granted that what they pick as top will fit your exact needs, but it's a good place to start looking.

Thank you - I guess I'll just delete photos from IPad and re-import the folders from the computer.

Don't think of it as an import, or you'll end up getting it cofused. It is a snyc, where the folders are mirrored from the computer. Any changes you make, including turning off the sync, will change on the iPad next sync.

The best way to do it (if you don't have a Mac And iPhoto) is to create a folder just for iPad pictures, then create some sub- folders (one for each album). Don't make any sub-sub-folders. They won't be recognizeed.

I recoment these be copies, not your originals. That way you can move and delete them without worring about losing anything.

In iTunes you can select to sync the entier main folder, or select only the sub-folders you want to sync at the time.
