We are a small team of artists who are planning to create an interactive Flash Ipad Application that will tell a story. We have done some rnd and have found the animation and interactivity to be quite good however we have not really figured out the best pipeline to do this.
The story will be around 20 pages long and there is going to be some character animation in each page. As the user clicks on some element, the story keeps moving forward, page by page. There could be multiple stories to choose from, in one application.
Some questions we have are :
Do we make each animator work on one single page, bring it to the final stage and then, merge all the work together to create a story? (There is a slight fear of having a messy Library here.)
Do we make each animator work on an entire story (page by page)? All the pages for one story is animated by one person and later, we put them all together. (So that he can handle all the elements involved and maintain a clean library.)
Once, the animation of all pages are done, the Action Scripting team takes over and start working on the interactivity part.
Would appreciate if anyone out there has dealt with similar issues and could help throw some light on potential issues and problems that could come up and any workarounds you might suggest.
Cheers![/FONT]
