Intro from webgeezer

I'm a retired computer geek with 50 years of experience. Most of my working years were with mainframes, unix systems, Linux, and PC's. My new iPad 2 3G is my first venture into the Apple world. So far, apps control is easy and fun, but file management is very restricted and hidden. I'll be looking for help finding apps to circumvent the iTunes only control mechanisms.

I'm looking forward to working with this forum.

Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Thanks. I do have the iPad book downloaded. I just installed the Goodreader app. I'm hoping I can use it for photo management.
