Hi...I'm Rich...83 years old...enjoy my desktop PC...have iphone and I pod but just got an iPad 4 which I like very much but still have questions.
What is the best way to search for threads that relate to my questions. For example, I want to learn how to block text (previous senders) on an email I want to forward.

Have not read your sticky yet but will do so.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this being a learning experience for me and hope, down the line, I can help others.
Thanks,
Rich

Hi Rich and welcome to the Forum!

When I forward on an email I have received and have pressed the forward tab, I will then go into the email text and press on the text to bring up the Select/Select All option. Press Select. I then select the text I want deleted by putting my finger on the little blue spots (handles and drag them where I want them). Then I press Cut and this will then delete the text I have selected.

When doing a search, input all the key words of your question - you will find the 2 Search features on the site to be much better than that of the app.

The IPad Forum is a community of members from all walks of life and from all over the world coming together to share our experiences and to help each other learn about this wonderful piece of technology the Ipad. There is a wealth of information already here in the many threads we have so doing some searches will answer most of the questions you have. If then you cannot find the answer you are seeking then by all means post your question. There are many friendly and informed members here only too willing to help you.

We also have our own App - It is a very simple app to navigate.

Thank you all for your welcome messages and info on the select all option. The iPad manual is a good place to start...but it seems this forum adds the human touch.
Thanks
