Hi Everybody,
I'm very new to the world of Apple - having never had an iPhone and I've always used PC's for everything else. Anyway, I jumped in the deep end the other day and bought two of the new iPads - partly thinking that it might be an easier way fo my wife to get to grips with the virtual world - she finds PC's a little intimidating, but also with the thought in mind that that we'll be staring to do a bit more travelling starting next year and the iPad seemed like a useful and highly portable device for such as looking up accommodation etc.
My initial experience with the iPad has been a very mixed one - they are very engaging and the suite of apps available clearly has something for anyone and everyone. Very impressive display and the navigation by flicking screens etc works well in most instances. The things that I have found frustrating so far have been syncing with or without the cloud to get photos across from my PC without losing the folder structure - I may be winning that battle but it seems unnecessariliy complex to me. My more recent frustration is that I seem unable to get either of the blessed things to charge via the supplied lead from the normal power outlet - quite annoying and surely not something that should require me to trick the things into life with on switch/ off switch sequencing - Anyway, I will look for the threads on this site for any tips or cluse re this issue but at this stage I anticipate heading into an Apple store very soon. I trust the relationship will improve!. I'm sure I will gain significantly from the experiences that others on this forum have shared.
