Hi...I am Jesse Callahan, a newbie on the Apple Ipad. I have had mine for just one week and am having a lot of fun learning about all the features of it. My main reason for getting the Ipad is I do a lot of ocean cruising and I got tired of lugging along a laptop computer to stay in touch with family and friends. When not on cruises I will use the Ipad primarily for storing my Big Band music files. Over the years I have collected several hundred vinyl albums and am in the process of transfering them to CDs and DVDs.
A bit about me....I was born in Savannah, Ga and raised in Tulsa, Ok. I joined the U.S. military on 8 December 1941 and made it my primary career. I retired from USAF on 30 April 1963 with the rank of Tech Sergeant. After a short period working for ITT, I joined NASA as a civilian contractor in the Manned Space Flight Program. I was an audio/Video engineer with NASCOM. I retired from NASA in August 1986 after the Challenger disaster and moved to my present home at Lake Sam Rayburn in Texas.
I have been married to the same girl going on sixty-six years. I will be 90 years old next month, January 2013 and do not plan on slowing down. My main hobby is flying. I have been a pilot, Multi and Single Engine since 1937.
