Apple has just released iOS 5 Beta 3 to developers today, and MacRumors has a round-up of some of the key findings so far. First up we have Location Services, which now have a new intro screen describing how they work, as well as more finely tuned controls, which enable the user to select precisely which services they want to use the location-tracking information, complete with a long list which includes the likes of iAds, Cell Network Search, and Traffic.

Next up we have the addition of a Voice Roaming toggle, which works in a similar way to the Data Roaming toggle, enabling the user to stop their phone from connecting to other networks and incurring big charges, when abroad, for example. Another small change that has been noticed is the appearance of a prompt when you use iOS 5 for the first time, which will tell you that, since the iPod app has had its name changed to “Music†in iOS 5, all video content that was previously in the iPod app has now been moved to the “Videos†app. Tweaks in Safari have also been found, including the return of the feature that enables you to clear cookies and data, and a new Advance section with data removal and debugging tools. And last, but definitely not least, according to MacRumors, this latest beta version of iOS 5 is also much speedier, with discernibly less lag.
