IOS 6 update and Apple TV Airplay

We updated all our devices yesterday and the day before to the new IOS for Ipad and phones. Now we cannot connect to our Apple TV airplay. The icon for the connection has disappeared off the Ipad 2, the Ipad 4, my iphone 4 and Joni's Iphone 5 and her Imac.
Does anyone have a solution? The instructions on the website assume that the icon exists in the app tray, but it is not there. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
