iOS and iPad2 question

I see where there was an update yesterday for the iPad. Will the iOS4.3 already be on the iPad2 when we get it, or will we have to do it ourselves. If it was shipped "on", would it have done the download by itself?

Just wondering because the Kindle is shipped turned on, and mine came with the current updates already on. This iPad will my very first Apple product, so this is a real learning experience for me
