I bought a first generation iPad off of Ebay. It is my first iPad, and I bought it to see how much I'd use it with school and work.
I have had it only a few days. It has been having trouble connecting to my WiFi. When I restart my router and try to connect, it works just fine, but after a while; about 5 to 10 hours later, it will disconnect. When I try to reconnect, I can't without having to restart my router again. My other devices seem fine.
I've tried restarting and resetting my iPad. I've tried turning my WiFi on my iPad on and off and back on again. I would try to renew my lease, but I can't access that option without being connected.
I've tried almost anything and everything, and I'm not sure if there's anything else I can do before contacting Apple. Please tell me there's something I can do. I don't think I have the money for hardware repair if it's that serious. Would jailbreaking do anything? My software is up to date, but I came into some knowledge that the iPad 1 can't receive software updates above 5.1.1.
Please help! Thanks!
