iPad 1 wifi problems

I have a 16gb iPad 1. The wifi keeps dropping. I have tried what I have read on the FAQ but no luck.
I am using Time Warner cable with the time Warner wireless router.
The Internet will work for a few minutes. Then I have to turn wifi off and on to get it to work again.
I have a iPhone and no issues with it.
Any ideas?

Reboot the iPad, and try again.
I have that happen occasionally.
Reboot the router also.

Yea I have rebooted both and iPad still acts up. Could router be set up wrong? Time Warner set it up. When they set it up they said I was having sudden drops in signal. But said it wasn't anything thatbwould affect anything. That was last summer. I am just tired of messing with the wifi.

What OS version are you running? Are you Jailbroken?

I am not jail broken. I am running os 4.3.3. It is the 16gb AT&T wifi model. I do not use the AT&T part. Just use wifi.

Most times I have heard of connectivity problems like this it has been down to the router, although often an iPad is the only device that will act up.

What type of security do you have on the wireless network? Many users have reported fixing their issues by changing the security method, e.g. to WEP or PSK2 if set to something else...

I will check what security it is. It is whatever Time Warner set up last year. I believe it is wep
