I have been experiencing problems with my mic 2 days ago. When my husband called me on facetime, he couldnt hear me. And just yesterday, my speakers would go low then high again. Is there anything i can do?

There are a few things that come to mind...

1. Do this first. Double tap the home button and delete all programs that might be running. I've had my iPad 2 for almost a year, and I can't tell you how many problems this has cleared up.

2. Next, if that doesn't fix the situation double tap the home button again. When the screen lifts up again, swipe underneath all the way to the left. You'll then see one control for brightness and one for volume control. Adjust the volume control if need be.

3. Last if neither of those work, turn your iPad off and reboot it. I've had to do this twice since I bought my iPad and I find this fixes things nicely.

Hope this helps.

I have done all three and nothing seems to help. I am desperate. My husband bought my iPad in the States. The warranty will expire next month. Will the warranty cover it here in the Philippines?

I don't know the answer to your question. But I'll say this, a little over a month ago, I had problem with my iPad. I took it to my local Apple store here in the States and they exchanged it for a new one right there on the spot. FYI, I didn't even have an extended warranty. I was told by the guy at the store that all iPads come with a one year warranty from the day they are sold at the store. If anything happens with them during that time, they exchange it and give you a new one for free. This was not something that I paid extra for.

If you did purchase a warranty, that's probably all the better. Apple is big company. If I were you, I'd go over to your local Apple store, tell them about the problem and see what happens. My guess is that they will exchange it for a new one. I don't see why they wouldn't.

One other thing. Please let me know what the outcome is. I'm interested to know what happens. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Try resetting your iPad and see if this works. Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you will see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start. Let us know how you go.
Your iPad will be covered by Apple's 1 year warranty regardless of where you are.

I would suggest that you take your iPad 2 back to the Apple store where you bought it, and have them look at. Your mic is probably defective. And if you're on warranty they'll exchange the iPad for nothing.
