iPad 2 newbie

Im sure the answer is quite simple, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I would like to see how much free space/used space I have on my iPad without connecting to a computer. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, do that require a constant Internet connection? Thing is, I'm active duty military and I can go for very long periods without a internet connection.....I would use it primarily for movie storage but I would need them most when I don't have coverage. Would this be a good fit for me??
