Ipad 2 not connecting to itunes

Hi,

I have logged onto iTunes and then plugged in my ipad to my computer, it is not show up as a device on iTunes. On the same computer my brother can plug in his Ipod and it does show up as a device.
I am able to set up Homesharing on my Ipad so I'm a bit stuck on on why it is not appearing as a device, I have seen a couple of suggestions but they don't seem to be working.

Has this happened to anyone or does anyone has some advice?

Update your iTunes to the latest ver.

I had the same problem until I updated iTunes

Thanks Rudinator, I thought I had the most up to date versions I as took it off the iTunes site the other day. I uninstalled then installed the same download and it worked, must have been one of them random issues!

Just like a PC, sometimes you just have to reboot
