ipad 2 screen gone black

My ipad 2 has been working fine, but all of a sudden the screen as gone black , although i can still still the small lettering eg iPad, wifi and battery level. no idea what to do, its only about a month old !!! hheellpp

Try restarting or resetting: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If that doesn't work, take it back to Apple. iPads have one- to two-year worldwide warranties.
