Ipad 3 -> Apple TV -> Airplay -> iOS6 Sound, no video

When I upgraded to iOS6, updated the apple TV to the latest software, and tried to use the new Airplay icon when viewing Amazon Video on my ipad, I was able to get sound, but no video. Is there a bug on this that needs to be fixed?
Further I tried the mirroring feature on the Ipad and referenced in some instructional videos, and that worked until I tried to play the video, when I did this the screen went blank and the audio was the only thing that played. Why show the airplay icon if it is only for sound, not video. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution to it that is easy?

The issue is mostly related to the app itself. Some video content cannot be "AirPlayed" because the provider prevents it. I have a few apps, mostly by some TV providers that do not let the video play on the AppleTV via AirPlay. This is why you only end up with audio only.

This has nothing to do with iOS 6.

Of course, if it was working in iOS 5, but stopped in iOS 6, there maybe an issue with the app. Check for an update or write to the app provider for assistance on this issue.
