iPad 3 volume not high enough at its highest

I have an iPad 3 and have realised that the volume is not high enough at its highest. Does anybody have any solution for getting it louder especially when playing it to hear while doing other stuff around the house (for example) from a distance? Thanks for any help and/or advice.

The iPad has a very small mono speaker with a low power amplifier. If you need higher sound levels, especially if you want stereo sound, you need an external sound system, such as a speaker dock or AirPlay to your sound system. http://www.apple.com/ca/airplay/
