Ipad 3 volume problem?

My new iPad 3 seems to have a volume problem. The keyboard noises and sleep noise are still there when I put the volume right down to nothing. If I mute using the mute slider on the side it works but I like that set as rotation lock. I turned off the iPad and tried again but it still makes a sound when the volume is down to nothing.

Ha ha forget this post. It seems on the new iPad there are settings for the "sound effects" I never had this on my iPad 1

Am having a similar issue with certain apps not muting when volume is off. Where a outs are the sound effects settings located? I've been looking in setting but no joy.
