iPad 3 wont turn on

Hi and welcome to the Forum!
You will need charge in the iPad first, so put in on for an hour and then do a Reset. This will not change anything on your iPad and is akin to rebooting a pc.
Reset - Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you will see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. Your iPad should then come on but it may take about a minute to do so. Let us know how you go.
