iPad 4th gen or iPad Air?

Is there any reason to get the 4th gen iPad if I can get the iPad Air for roughly the same price? Is there anything that the 4th gen does better?

No. The iPad Air is superior in every way.

Or you could wait until October, for Apple's expected (but not yet announced) iPad event. There are bound to be at least a few improvements.

I agree with twerppoet, if possible, you could wait for the updated iPad Air in October, it will be even better than the current iPad Air.
