IPAD Address Book Import Format

I want to import address books from my two Thunderbird accounts. How?

If Thunderbird will export your contacts in the vCard format: Email the resulting file to yourself. On the iPad tap and hold the attachment in the Mail app for the option to import the contacts.

Or, you can import the file from the computer using the icloud.com site.
