hey they should make a special edition chess ipad, where u turn it over opposite of lcd and there is a chess board and u can use the ipad to play chess!

i may even spray paint the back of my ipad and paint a chess board, it will be neat!

Why don't you just buy one of those casings in plain color. So you can paint the chess board on it.
