Ipad for remotely monitoring CCTV systems

I have the retina display Ipad and want to use it to remotely monitor my 8 channel DVR that has 8 analog cameras attached. The DVR if it is of any help is a Q-see QT548. I am currently using the QT QSee view HD app, but am having issues with in and network connectivity. I was wondering if there are any other apps that may do the trick, I am not worried about paying as long as they work and are stable.
Any help much appreciated.

Sorry I can't be of any help here, but I had to drop in and say 'that's cool!'.

I keep thinking I need to set up a monitor in the yard so I can check on the dog when I'm not at home, or maybe figure out what's pooping in my yard at night; but I'd probably use something a lot simpler.
