Ipad games to iphone

I used to buy pruducts from the app store on my iPad and it would synchronise to my iPhone why does that not happen anymore,I have to go into my iPhone and buy it again,

settings - store - check automatic downloads are on.

If they are already on check your signed into the same account on both devices.

Also, check that the apps you are buying now are universal, they have a little + sign in the top left corner of the price tab if they are. If they are not universal you may have to buy a separate app for your iPhone.
