Hi there! I'm a new member but a long time Mac fanatic!! I still have my Mac Cube and it still works!

Anyway, I have an ipad and I absolutely love it. I would like to get one for my mother so she could download books. The only thing is that my mother is Japanese and not tech savvy such as myself.

I know that I can change the language on the ipad to Japanese (I think) but does anyone know how she can download books and movies that are Japanese as well.

Would it be better to buy an Ipad from Japan or can just changing the language work.

Also, I don't speak or read Japanese!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

You need to get a Japanese iTunes account. The iTunes store in Japan has Japanese language books and movies. To do this, you'll need either a Japanese credit card or an iTunes gift card from Japan. Either will work - if you don't have either then there are several organisations on the Internet that specialise in selling foreign iTunes gift cards especially for this purpose.
