iPad & iTunes

A question I have have as I await my local store to actually have some iPad2s in stock concerns iTunes. I have a 160GB iPod Classis. I have lots of music, pics, movies, etc... I do not want them on my iPad. I can't see how iTunes can differentiate what content goes on what device.

Similarly, I intend on downloading content I want to install only on the iPad2. I use DVDNextcopy to rip DVDs for iPod, it's great.

iTunes is pretty smart and it knows what device you have plugged in at any given time. You can set it so that your iPad does not automatically sync when you plug it in. You can also "cherry pick" what items from your library you want on your iPad.
