Ipad Micrphone

Is there an external microphone I can use with iPad and ios4. I have some brilliant music apps that would be so much better with an external mike.

Any suggestions?

The unidirectional condensor mic is designed for singers and vocalists, but can also be used to record speeches, instruments. It also comes with three official apps: VocaLive, which provides realtime vocal effects and processing, AmpliTube, which enhances instrumental recordings with effects and levels, and iRig Recorder.

The mic uses the 3.5mm jack on the iPad/iPhone and has a second jack built in so you can plug in headphones for monitoring audio levels.

If it's not available yet, you can probably try the guitar connectors that are available (irig and sucht). It should basically be just another little headphone connector that lets you connect any source (intended for guitars, but I guess you can use microphones, too). I have a mic hooked up to my guitar amp. While it may not be perfect, it still works.
