What would appear to be some of the first examples of third-party iPad mini cases have appeared online today, as reported on by AppleInsider. The cases came to light on Giz-China.com, and feature a camera hole in the top left, which would seem to indicate that the iPad mini will have a rear-facing camera, just as you might expect. The case also reveals another hole in the center-rear of the case, which ties in with other previously leaked parts, which have also shown a mysterious hole in the same place. The hole is between the camera lens and flash, and it’s not clear exactly what it is, as yet. AppleInsider notes that recent speculation in the press has mentioned a new rear-facing microphone designed to improve the quality of audio recordings for videos filmed on the iPad mini. Other cases shown by AppleInsider feature the smaller dock connector and front-facing FaceTime camera.
