Remember I'm a Newbie.. I watched that video, good stuff.
However, everything around here creates new questions.

How do I get my display set to show the apps that are running in the background, the slide up and down, like the task bar?

Double click the centre button. (You can see him touching it in the video but you really can't tell that he is double clicking it.)
